The mass media is heavily demeaning almost African-American women, causing the public to have an unhealthy instruct of beauty, indecent opinions of African-American women, and desensitization of their ability to perform in society. The graduation element of influence is the depict of beauty in the mass media today. What is viewed as beauty leaves little room for race who do non fit the category, especially African-American women.
